To enhance the cultural and social well being of the Southern Gulf Islands
Galiano, Mayne, the Penders and Saturna Islands

The Southern Gulf Islands lie between Vancouver and Victoria, Canada, between the Georgia Strait and Trincomali Channel.
Community is as much a state of mind as it is a place to live. It's where we share ideas and experiences ranging from raising children to raising expectations. Community is the physical and philosophical ground we stand on. Culture is the currency we use to keep communities connected.

(Broadcaster Paul Grant, in his introduction to the BC Arts Funding Book, published by the Assembly of BC Arts Councils, with permission.)
British Columbia's Southern Gulf Islands have attracted artists, writers and craftspeople of all disciplines.
This website offers them access to each other and to the public.

About Trincomali Community Arts Council
In January, 2000, 160 people interested in cultural life of the Southern Gulf Islands joined together to form the Trincomali Community Arts Council.
The first Annual General Meeting of the society took place on Mayne Island in March, 2000.

A Board of Directors was elected consisting of:
two representatives each from Galiano, Mayne and North pender Islands
one each from South Pender and Saturna Islands.

A Constitution and Bylaws were adopted and duly registered with the Registrar of Societies.

The Board of Directors
normally meets once a month on the BC Ferry.

The Society holds its Annual General Meetings in the spring on a different island each year.

Membership dues are $15 a year. Membership year is January 1st to December 31st.
